What do fishing guides do on their time off? They go fishing, of course! Altamont Anglers' father/son team, Drake and Teo Whitlock, enjoyed a "busman's holiday" of sorts, joining Tim Fischer for an assault on the Missouri River. Camping on the banks of Big Mo, in Craig, MT. provided a perfect base of operation for a week of exploring and enjoying the fantastic fishery first explored by Lewis & Clark and famous for it's "hot" rainbow trout.
The intrepid trio took a short time to "break the code" on how the river works, but enjoyed its bounty of brown and rainbow trout from then on. After putting Drake on a plane for home on September 2, Tim and Teo headed north towards Calgary, Canada to explore the fishing on the Bow River, with plans to return to the states the following week for more exploratory missions in Montana. They sent the following photos on September 10, taken on "a secret, remote Montana tailwater".
