Hazen Blodgett booked some quality time for he and his son, Garrett on Memorial Day weekend--namely, some time on the water with Altamont Anglers guide Teo Whitlock.
Hazen wanted to add to the limited experience he and Garrett had in fly fishing, so Teo spent the Saturday with them on the Watauga River: a guide in a boat can put his clients in the perfect position for a shot at the trout, and a day in the boat is a great way to hone your skills for eventually stalking trout on foot.
Which is what they did on Sunday, when Teo met them on the Davison River for some truly advanced instruction--the PHD trout on the Davidson will test any anglers skills.
It looks like Garrett and Hazen passed the tests on both waters...
