Back in early March we got a call from Steve Nichting asking for a half-day of fly fishing instruction. Steve had never tried fly fishing, but caught on well when Altamont Anglers' guide Teo Whitlock took him over to the Davidson River for his first foray into a trout stream (click here to see how Steve fared that day). He had so much fun that he returned, with some fly-fishing friends, on May 10, 2006. Teo and AA guide Jay Dodd took the "gang of four" over to the Davidson and Dan Bunnell sent us a couple of shots of the 24" brown he caught that afternoon. We're guessing Dan and Steve are engaged in a lively debate concerning the relative merits of their trophy browns...
