Chip Corbitt came up to Asheville, NC with his fishing buddy Mike Allers and booked a full day walk/wade trip, which was guided by Altamont Anglers' guide Teo Whitlock. The stream has to remain anonymous (to protect the wild trout that live there), but we will admit that Teo took Chip and Mike to one of our favorite "backcountry" streams. With the water getting very low due to the area-wide "moderate" drought, and the weather beginning to warm up, these higher-elevation streams will soon be the only refuge for the serious trout angler. From the pictures, it looks like Chip and Mike made the best of the day on wild-trout water.
