Van Dowless holds a nice Davidson River brown trout caught on May 16, 2009 (click image for larger view).
When Van and Penny Dowless visited Asheville's famous Grove Park Inn over the weekend, Penny knew just how she intended to spend Saturday morning: luxuriating in the spa! She also had a pretty good game-plan for Van: luxuriating on the Davidson River!
Altamont Anglers guide Travis Honeycutt picked Van up in the morning, and while Penny savoured the soothing waters of the spa, Van enjoyed the rushing currents of a trout stream. Judging by the photo on the right, Van enjoyed a pretty theraputic morning.
