When Graham Sturgis isn't practicing law in Charleston, SC he can often be found terrorizing the trout on the Davidson River. That's where he met Altamont Anglers' guide Teo Whitlock and where he began to hear from Teo about the South Holston River. Intrigued by Teo's tales of the fine fishing on East Tennessee's premier tailwater he booked a trip last year for himself and a couple of fishing buddies to make an exploratory excursion, with Teo's guidance. The trip apparently only whetted Graham's appetite, and he booked a return trip with Teo for December 1, 2006.

Graham's experience on the Davidson River appears to have served him well on the South Holston, as evidenced by this picture of him with a brutish winter-time brown trout (click the images for larger views)...
