Debbie Griffith holds up "Bertha", a beautiful South Holston River brown trout, on October 16, 2010 (click to enlarge image).

Debbie Griffith fishes with Altamont Anglers as often as she can, and seems to have a knack for picking the most productive days (like this one)

She picked another good one on October 16, targeting the pre-spawn movement by the South Holston River's brown trout population. Here's what Debbie had to say about the day:

"Wow, what a day.  Teo outdid himself in putting us on fish, teaching us everything from the stack mend to the reach cast, and helping us stick, land and release Big Bertha and dozens of her younger siblings. Incredible fall colors on a beautiful river full of sunshine and trout."

"Thanks to Teo for another wonderful trip."

And our thanks to Debbie and Denise for sharing their great photos. Click any of the thumbnails that follow to view a slide show of the fishing on the South Holston River, October 16, 2010...
