Altamont Anglers guide Teo Whitlock recently accepted a generous invitation to visit the Cliffs Communities© fishing lodge on the Kispiox River in the Canadian province of British Columbia.

Asheville residents are familiar with the Cliffs Communities,© private golf, master planned communities, extending between Asheville, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina at the leading edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Less widely know are the "retreats" developed by the company: lodges set in environmentally pristine, remote locations.
The Cliffs at Kispiox River© is a fishing lodge right on the banks of one of the world's finest steelhead rivers. The newly arrived "chromers" represent the pinnacle of fly-rodding, matching their size and beauty with awsome strength and fighting spirit. Indeed, the fish on the left had strength enough to slip Teo's grasp with one mighty twist just before Gordon could snap the shutter for a shot of Teo holding his trophy (we've included the resulting photo of Teo's "early release" in the gallery below, for the purely sadistic purpose of his embarrassment).
