Erin Majorie bought her husband, Chad, a Gift Certificate for a half-day fly fishing excursion way back in the fall of 2005 after Hurricane Katrina had driven them from their home in Louisianna to temporary lodgings in Asheville, NC. Bad weather forced a rescheduling of the fishing date on Chad's first attempt to redeem the Gift Certificate--the man is cursed by the weather gods, it seems--but perserverance paid off at last in June of 2007. Altamont Anglers' guide Teo Whitlock introduced Chad to the wonders of the Davidson River, the weather gods smiled at last, and the results are evident in the photos that follow:
Here's Chad on the Davidson River, June 7, 2007 with a handsome brown trout (click the image to enlarge)...

Chad's dad, Frank Majorie, enjoyed the outing too--here's one good reason why (click for a larger image)
