We like to encourage clients to book with as much advance notice as possible, but that's not always possible for them. So, when Maria Carter left us a message on a Thursday afternoon hoping for a guided trip on that Saturday, we were doubtful of booking the trip: the calendar was full and the guides we know were busy. But we called around and found our stalwart associate Steve Parrott, fresh back from his honeymoon in Silver Creek, Idaho, whose scheduled float trip for that saturday had just cancelled.

That was good news for Maria, who was booking the trip for herself and her husband (also named Steve!), an avid bass fisherman. Steve took them over to the Davidson River, and--considering neither she nor her husband Steve had ever fly fished before--they appear to have done rather well.
