Mike McBee releases a South Holston River brown trout on October 8, 2009 (click image to enlarge).
Altamont Anglers guide Teo Whitlock guided Mike & Karen McBee to our favorite Tennessee tailwaters recently. Mike and Karen exemplify the finest qualities of Altamont Anglers clientele: They fish for fun, not to compete; they bring a sense of humor to the stream; and they fish often! They've been with us many times (like this time and this time, for instance) and know the routine, but as you can see from the message they sent with these pictures, they're still enthused. Here it is, in their words:
"Teo, Sincere thanks from Karen and I for 2 glorious days of fishing. The "numbers" on the Watauga were amazing: the "quality" on the Holston is obvious from these pictures!! We were 2 happy flyfishers! Sure would like to get in on some smallies with you...
You are a first rate guide and we thank you, it has always been a pleasure to fish with you."
Trust us, Mike & Karen: the pleasure is all ours! Click the thumbnails below for larger views of Mike's nice, fall hog on the South Holston:
