The father/son fishing trip is becoming a familier theme here at Altamont Anglers: Team Huebner followed right on the heels of Team Devereux's trip back in April (both father/son teams were guided by Altamont Anglers guide Teo Whitlock). Then, on May 19, we had a tandem of father/son teams, with Teo Whitlock guiding team Godfrey, and Altamont Anglers guide Travis Honeycutt guiding team Murphree .
Travis took Mike and Austen Murphree over to the Laurel River for their half-day of fly fishing instruction. Austen must be a really good student, judging by the pictures. Mike later shared his thoughts on the day: "Just wanted to let you know that we had an outstanding outing last weekend. This was my 11-yo son's first fly-fishing trip. Travis Honeycut was our guide and he put us on fish from the first entry into the Laurel. We must have caught between 20-30 fish, including a 20+" brown trout that my son landed at the end of the day. We'll be back soon. Thank you for an excellent father/son outing!"
