John Nordstedt made the long drive from his home in Denville, NJ down to the warmer environs of Asheville, NC for some early season fly fishing. John's an experienced angler who understands the benefits of having a guide when fishing unfamiliar water, and arranged for AA guide Teo Whitlock to take him to a couple of different streams the day they fished. This gave John more options for fishing on his own later in the week, and is a common request from seasoned anglers new to our waters. While the time spent on each stream is shortened, the variety of possibilities for a return trip makes this approach (we call it the "sampler" trip) desirable for experienced anglers.

Teo started John out at the Davidson River and after lunch they drove over to one of our favorite rivers for wild trout (which will remain anonymous, for the purpose of protecting those wild beauties).
