Ian Olmsted and his girlfriend, Leigh Ann, headed south for Asheville, NC from the campus of Appalachian State University for some end-of-semester stress relief. They called Altamont Anglers as they were leaving and booked a day of fly fishing instruction, the best stress-reliever we know of. AA guide Teo Whitlock took Ian and Leigh Ann over to the West Fork of the Pigeon River for a half-day of instruction and, judging by these pictures they must be fast learners. I'm sure they're the types of students than don't sweat too much over their final grades, because they sure got straight A's in fly fishing...

Here's Leigh Ann on the West Fork of the Pigeon River on Monday, May 7, 2007 holding a huge brown trout netted by her guide, Teo Whitlock (click the image for a larger view)...
