Ed Perugini booked a full day's walk/wade trip with Altamont Anglers for November 9, 2005 (as is obvious in the photos he sent us). He mentioned that he'd enjoyed catching brookies on a trip out west, so AA guide Teo Whitlock took him to one of our secret wild-trout streams. These streams aren't stocked and haven't been for many years, so the trout you catch were born in the wild, and they really look it. No anemic fish with fins worn down on hatchery raceways in these streams, and if you fish them in the fall, as the fish prepare to spawn, you are in for a display of color that puts the leaves to shame.
