Jennifer Roche really knows how to celebrate a birthday, at least when it's her husband, Tim's. Tim is a fly fisherman and, like all fly fishers, just can't get to the stream as much as he'd like, so Jennifer combined a trip to Asheville's Hill House Bed & Breakfast with a surprise fly fishing date with Altamont Anglers Fly Fishing Guides. Jennifer joined in the angling action, her first ever fly fishing experience, under the tutelage of AA guide Teo Whitlock. Teo took the couple to one of our favorite Delayed Harvest streams, the West Fork of the Pigeon River, where Tim got his fly fishing "fix" and Jennifer got her first fly-caught fish, and then some.
Here's Tim Roche on the West Fork of the Pigeon River on Friday, April 27, 2007 holding a nice rainbow netted by his guide, Teo Whitlock (click the image for a larger view)...

And here's Jennifer Roche with her first-ever fly-caught trout, 4/27/07 (click the pic for larger view)...
