We don't normally guide in the area around Boone, N.C.--it's too far from Asheville, our home turf. So, when Sean Fagan called to book a float trip for himself and an old friend and explained that they'd be staying in Boone, we thought of recommending some of the guides up that way. Then Sean told us that he'd found some other North Carolina guides in his web-search, but that our Stream Reports were the most recently updated, and he didn't mind meeting us nearer to the South Holston River if that's what it would take to get us on a float trip. We couldn't argue with that, and the trip was on. Altamont Anglers' guide Teo Whitlock met Sean and Rick in Elizabethton, TN on October 11, 2005 and here's what Sean had to say when he sent us these photos:
"Just wanted to let you know that my fishing buddy Rick and I had a great time on our trip with Teo (11 Oct). It was my first guide trip and one of several Rick has been on. Both of us had an excellent time and learned a lot. Thanks for the memorable experience...It was a pleasure doing business with you."
The pleasure was all ours!
