Rex Sentell presents one of many Watauga River rainbows to the camera on July 10, 2009 (click image to enlarge).
Altamont Anglers lives or dies by customer referrals (like any other service oriented business), so we were glad to get the call from Rex Sentell, who wanted to book a float trip with us on the recommendation of his friend, and our client, Greg Braunstein. We tip our company hat to Greg for sending Rex our way!
Altamont Anglers' guide Teo Whitlock manned the oars for Rex and Susan on July 10, 2009 for a rainbow trout-filled day on the Watauga River, in Eastern Tennessee.
Here's Rex, on the left, "woofing" it up with a typical Watauga River rainbow trout--what's with that hat, any? Woof?
Susan Sentell and a nice Watauga River rainbow trout smile for the camera on July 10, 2009 (click image to enlarge).
Susan, on the right, and Rex benefited from their guide's boat-rowing skills, but also from his intimate knowledge of the river, the hatches it produces and the fine points of rigging leaders to fish at the proper depth with the right flies. The result? A busy day spent casting, hooking, playing, netting and--finally--releasing a large number of feisty Watauga River rainbows!
